“Samudhiram Peridha? Then Thuli Peridha? Thendhan…” goes a Tamil song from Vasool Raja MBBS. Though the intent is different, I felt the meaning in the analogy. Indic philosophy is an ocean by itself. I was clearly convinced that there is nothing that could be left unanswered by the vast literature born in India especially through my affiliation with Vivekananda Ashram and Ramakrishna Mission during my 11th and 12th grade. But do I have the time? Then the language barrier…can I learn Sanskrit good enough to understand the details. Do I have the persistence? Medha Jananam is the “Then Thuli” for me. There is a difference though… the sweetness of the Honey can only last during the moment. But this honey drop is a framework giving a clear perspective of life to a common man. If I really think, all of us are exposed to most of the grass root concepts at various times of life. Medha Jananam is a great idea that creates an awareness or consciousness of the things that really matter. It brings a 20/20 vision for the one who had never had his eye tested. The concepts of religions are very compelling especially for someone from my background exposed to lots of rituals. The concept of Varna is a true modern life best selling material. Dr. Kimball says “Keep to the grain”… the fractals keep you to the grain. I’ll never be able to justify expressing the usefulness of this class fully but I can say ’I spent the most important 36 hours of my entire life in it’.

Mr. Krishna’s work truly means his intent to give back to the society. I wish more people have the opportunity to experience it. It can be made a class room material for kids at school between grades 9-12 to bring up new generations with perspective. I can understand the pain if the process dilutes the content. Mr. Krishna has a tireless, passionate and a non-preaching style of teaching that can only be experienced. It gets a feel of “at home” in the class. I should say that it brought the bright side of our color in each one of us… mmm…especially the food… glad we live in a blue planet. Now that the ignition is on…I feel the need for get going… For our classmates, the busyness of life could force us not to wear the new glasses. I earnestly feel that we have to keep something to remind us everyday what we learnt here…may be we can plant a tree. Let the journey continue…

The lotus rises with the water, And a man as high as his will. -Thiruvalluvar (30 BC)

The lotus rises with the water and our consciousness rises to our courage! In Vivekananda’s words, let our level of consciousness arise, awake and stop not until the goal is reached!
